Bampa always used to make the porridge in the morning, and a sweeter tooth I have never met. We used to joke that he didnd't have sugar with his porridge, he had porridge with his sugar! We always knew when Bampa wanted a chocolate biscuit – a cunning trick he had devised to overcome the restrictions on chocolate biscuits was to bring out the tin and offer them around the grandchildren first, a twinkle in his eye!
