Happy faces we shall see.

You enriched our lives with your generous friendship. I fondly remember our families being together during Christmas and New Year celebrations, Club Days and those wonderful caravan rallies. You will always be in my heart.

When I was a child in the 1960’s, before the advent of the motorway, towing a caravan up steep hills was rather perilous. You hoped not to be behind a lorry, and if you were, burnt cluches and exploding radiators were not uncommon. When we were in Michael’s car, if we were at the top of such a hill and about to descend, Michael, with his wry, observational wit, would refer to the exasperated drivers on the other side and say ‘Happy faces we shall see.’

Thank you for all the happy memories.
